“I’ve been to some PamKamps and they included singles and married couples. I saw a a mother-daughter duo, young girls and boys from the inter islands. Most seemed to be in their 30's, 40's or 50's. Doctors, lawyers, homemakers, Pam seems to attract individuals from all walks of life. One couple signed up while we were there. They were school teachers from Canada. We are now good friends and we never stop talking about the PamKamp experience”

“Each day starts with a morning walk. There's at least one major intensive fitness session every day, too. PamKampers get to test their calf muscles pumping up hills for the road to Hana.
There's the legendary hike in Haleakala.. Or cyclists can opt for one-way bike rides from the top of the volcano to the bottom.
All this in beautiful, endless sunny 80 degree temperature days with a cool trade wind to keep your mind young and a spring in your step. “Only on Maui”, Lauderback says. “There is really no place else you can vacation, enjoy good food, and receive healthy goals”.

“You will get to reinvent your inner child, become healthy with an improved sense of well being, and still enjoy a glass of wine and a healthy snack on the lanai at night.," she says with a contented sigh.

Pam gave me an Hawaiian journal. Here is an excerpt from my Hawaiian journal:

“I'm only here for six days as my kids want me home, so I'll be heading out after the morning hike and aquacize class. My flight is not until late so the day is young and Pam has me scheduled for daily activities that will help me sleep on the flight home.

Fueled by her famous PamKake breakfast, I step into my walking shoes and head out with a couple of other hikers that I've met during my stay. The paths and roads here wind along some of the most scenic areas I have experienced and it keeps my mind off of even the slightest tug on my calf muscles. We all walk along, breathing in the energy of the sea and mountains. Pam has access to private areas that she is sharing with us today. I will get to see the famed Beatle, George Harrison's former home and enjoy a treat from the road side pineapple stand.

I’m last in line, but Pam encourages gentle fitness and teaches us to train within our genome. Pam is big on the genome theory and when you stay with her, it doesn’t take long to speak her lingo. She gets into your head quickly after a few days. I’m glad that I am shuffling along last in line, it helps me to see the change in everyone else's (bums). I hope mine looks that good!

(I will move along here to make a long story short)....

I shuck off my sweaty hiking clothes, tug on a swimsuit and leap into the swimming pool for my aquacise. I passed by the waterfall, so Pam is having me exercise in the swimming pool. Pam is so flexible with everyone's strengths and weakness. She believes in tackling our fears, but works on it the safest way. Pam calls it “knowing our safety zone through common sense travel”

This, I can't help thinking, is why everyone, including me loves PamKamp so much.

Following an annual physical exam by my physician; My physician strongly urged me to begin an exercise program as soon as possible. My cholesterol levels and blood pressure were extremely out of whack. She told me that I was a prime candidate for a stroke. That very day, I began my search for a fitness trainer and found Pamela.

Pamela taught me the benefits of both being coached gently and effective as she always quotes to me. The value and importance of technique was the best. Pamela saved my life literally.

I went on my very first P.A.M. Kamp in Maui in October. I had been training with Pam for about seven months when she invited me to train with her for a week. I wasn’t sure what to expect and had never been to Maui before let alone train there. My week there was amazing! The weather was absolutely perfect, the island itself is so beautiful, it’s indescribable. I love sweets and she gave me some healthy alternatives to help me curve my “sweet tooth”. As far as exercising, we walked every morning. She always picked places where we could see the sites of the island. The weather was awesome and the views were amazing.

Pam made the walks not feel like you were actually working out or exercising. We went on some amazing trails, walked in a non-erupting volcano and walked along the ocean. One day, we actually worked out on the beach in the sand and lifted weights with heavy rocks we found on the beach. It was tons of fun but we really had a hard workout. My boyfriend and I ran a race in the sand and I actually beat him!! The lifeguards were very impressed!! It was so much fun and exciting to be working out on a famous beach that was featured on the Travel Channel.

In the evenings, we did a short workout of stretching and low impact exercises. My boyfriend was impressed that I “kicked his butt” in these exercises. While he was panting, out of breath and trying to do the exercises “properly”, I breezed right through them, no problem. I’m in my early 40’s and thanks to Pam; I looked amazing in my bikini.
Pam has taught me how to read labels and the proper exercises I need to do to accomplish my fitness goals. I would highly recommend P.A.M. Kamp in Maui, it was the best trip I have ever taken and I’m looking forward to P.A.M. Kamp next year!! Pam is an amazing trainer!! She is a very good motivator, as well. Whatever your fitness goals are, Pam can definitely teach you the proper exercises you need to do to achieve those goals. I highly recommend Pam, whether it is for a P.A.M. Kamp or simply weekly workouts. One session with her, and I guarantee you will want to keep coming back for more! Dianna
